Growth mindset is thinking positive and fixed is like thinking I have done enough I can't make it any better. I choose to do a kahoot. Grit and perseverance is about believing in yourself and not going to give up if something is hard. Kia Ora, Welcome back to my blog. So today I am going to be showing you my happiness book I made. We were learning about the four brain chemicals and also about happiness. It is ok to be sad sometimes. The four brain chemicals are serotonin, dophine, endorphins and Oxycontin. They all mean different things. You could choose to do non-fiction which is true about the brain chemicals or you could do fiction which is about true happiness. I choose to do fiction about true happiness. You had to make a slide showing a kid in Kakono what true happiness is and then you make like a book explaing it to them. I also choose to do motes so they can listen as well. Here is mine. Kia Ora, Welcome back to my blog. So Today I am going to be showing you my house of bricks reflection. On Friday we had House of Bricks come it is a lego project and you can build some things and also there were a few challenges. The rotations were pass the bricks, The moaska and the car activity were you have to build your own car and see which would go the furthest down the ramp. The C's that we are learning about is Character and collaboration. Here is my My House of Bricks Reflation!!
What Is you favourite thing to build with Lego?
My favourite Lego activity was the mosaics because you got to choose lots of different colours of lego.
I chose the colourful one with all the different colours and you could choose what you wanted to build and it was really cool when you could spin it.
A lot of people did different designs like reflections.
My least favourite Lego activity was passing the bricks.
I tried to build a pool and then when it came back it was a pool but it was all uneven and
I didn’t really like it.
People had put pieces on I did not like.
The activity that tested my perseverance the most was the car race thing.
Because you only had a certain amount of time and when we tested it.
It was not really working out.
The most challenging activity was the race car again.
Because I was so nervous that we would not get our car finished and it would just break but it didn’t.
Next time we could of done it a wee bit differently.
I enjoyed working collaboratively with others because they all had different ideas for my lego creation.
When it came back to me a lot of people had ideas that I did not think of.

Early one miserable morning, the door to Miss Elem’s Home For Children opened wide.
The girl with the sunflower yellow umbrella, tip-toed cautiously before she entered the orphanage before finding a home for her umbrella.
Not wanting to be seen.
Boris quickly whipped his poked his head around the door frame so that he was hidden from view. Standing off to the side the girl observed the happy scene while the children searched in the box for old and hidden treasures.
The girl looked so exited as she watched the young boy race around the room like a roller coaster.
Her smile Quickly vanished as she looked back at the umbrella stand and all she saw was puddles. Her beloved umbrella had vanished and was nowhere to be found.
Kia Ora, Welcome back to my blog so today I am going to be showing you my Matariki poem slide. We learnt 3 different poems they were diamante, Acrostic and haiku. I love doing all of them. We made a copy of a slide and then we wrote are own ones. Here is a wee bit of information for the three different poems if you don't know them.
Diamante: It is a diamond shape there are normally seven lines. The first line is topic one. Line 2 is two adjectives. The third line is three ing words. The fourth line is four nouns or a short phrase. the fiftieth line is three ing words. The six line is two adjectives. And then the last line is topic 2.
Acrostic: The acrostic poem is a word down and then starting with that letter you write something about the subject that you are doing. The subject that we are doing is Matariki.
Haiku: A Haiku poem is when you use syllables for the poem you clap them. The theme is Matariki. The first line. The next line is 7 and then the last is 5 again.

Kia Ora, Welcome back to my blog. So today I am going to be showing my trip recount about Margreat Mahy. We went to Margreat Mahy on the bus and then walked to the 4 different rotations. They were Tuna feeding and the mat's, going on the Waka down the Avon river, Looking at the Margreat mahy sigh carved into the ground and the last rotation was going to Victoria Square and looking at the pou.

On Thursday the 20th of May Tumu hub went to Margaret Mahy Playground. First we did the mats.
For the mats we were learning about the designs and what they mean because they mean different stories.
Then we fed the tuna which were eels but I didn’t get to feed them until later because they weren’t hungry.
When we got to the Waka we learnt the commands and learnt how to row the paddles.
Then we went to Victoria Square and we had a look around and then we tried to draw the pou.
Next we went to Margreat Mahy and looked at this song that was in the concrete.
My favourite part of the trip was the waka because I loved going under the bridge and we also went back and forth a lot of times.
Something I learnt was that the Māori mats had different meanings and there are 13 of them in Christchurch.
At Victoria Square I found another 3 mats.
The thing I found the most interesting was looking at the Victoria Square starters and garden and especially the fountains.
I also noticed that the pou means different things and that helped me with my PBL.

One the last week on Wednesday we do boat stuff so we wear life jackets and go in boats it is really fun. On the Friday we get to wear pyjamas in the pool under my togs and swim. Why we do that is because if you are drowning and you are in the water and you are wearing clothes we will be used to it. My teacher is called Blair and I have about 8 people in my group. We are in the big pool and we get to swim laps. Hope you Like my Story!!
